Obituary for Lavern R. Stoltzfus

Lavern R. Stoltzfus, 62, of East Earl, died Monday, February 13, 2017 at his home after a brief illness.
Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Ammon and Gertrude Stoltzfus.
Lavern worked for about 25 years in the bakery at Pepperidge Farms.
He often attended The Tom Brown Jr’s Tracker School in New Jersey and enjoyed backpacking, swimming, gardening, raspberries, a love of nature, classic rock music, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is a son, Mike, married to Megan (Nyeste) Stoltz; two grandsons, Torin and Degan Stoltz; two sisters, Marilyn Valentine of Delaware, and Rita Pancake of Kentucky; and two brothers, Royce Stoltzfus of South Bend, IN, and Vearl Stoltzfus of Elizabethtown, PA.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area. Write check to, PA Game Commission, PO Box 100, Klinfeldersville, PA 17032. Include “Laverne Stoltzfus” in memo.
