Condolence From: Mabel Pickel
Condolence: Dear Mabel,
I didn't know your address so I decided to send my sympathy greetings this way. So you are the only one left of the large Campbell family. I suppose you remember Anna Mae and I were friends way back there in high school and after. Quite a few of our friends have gone on to Glory. I don't get out or away from Landis Homes very often although I have gone out with either my sisters or the Landis Homes bus occassionly. So are you still getting around, still driving, etc So who are you traveling with these days. Since I didn't see you for awhile it would be nice to hear from or see you. Do you ever get to Landis Homes? Do you have friends or relatives here? What are you doing with yourself? I don't think you are in your 80's yet more like 70's right? You live along in a nice home, right? Please write or call 509-5431. Thanks so much.

Love and prayers, Betty Denlinger

Condolence From: Ron and Jackie Diem
Condolence: Our deepest sympathy. John and Mildred rented our first apartment to us when we got married in 1983. We loved having them as landlords and they always loved to play with our daughter. We have very fund memories of the Campbells. Prayers for the family.

Condolence: Having grown up in the New Holland Mennonite Church from my birth in 1940, John was a fixture in my life from childhood, and a constant presence at New Holland Mennonite through all the twists and turns of its history. I remember him as a very friendly man, one who paid attention to me as a young boy and in my occasional visits home from my adult wanderings all around the world. It was always good to find that with all the changes at the congregation of my childhood, John was a dependable presence. And one important contribution he made was making his flatbed coal truck, covered with straw, available to the young people in the Christian Workers' Band for Christmas caroling around New Holland on cold December nights during the 1950s.
