Obituary for Paul K. Oberholtzer

Paul K. Oberholtzer, 81, resident of Richland Christian Home, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Fairmount Rest Home.

Born in Lanc. Co., he was the son of the late Aaron L. and Katie S. (Kreider) Oberholtzer. He was married 59 years on Nov. 22 to the late Esther M. Oberholtzer.

Paul K. was a mechanic and produce farmer most of his life. The last four years he was a resident of Richland Christian Home.

Surviving are 7 children, Clinton, married to Cindy (Sweigart) Oberholtzer of Bethel, Mary, married to Cliff Stauffer of Denver, Steven, married to Eva (Dieffenbach) Oberholtzer of Narvon, Wilma, married to Mel Sweigart of Springfield, SC, Paul, married to Marlene (Miller) Oberholtzer of Stevens, Rhoda Oberholtzer of Denver, and Phil, married to Michelle (Weaver) Oberholtzer of Fredericksburg; 42 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Edward Martin; and 4 brothers and sisters, Mary and Ivan Nolt, Cathryn Oberholtzer, Nathan and Miriam Oberholtzer, Mahlon and Edna Mae Oberholtzer.

Preceding him in death are his wife Esther Mae, twin sons, Chester and Lester Oberholtzer; a daughter Julia Ann Martin; 2 grandsons, Jay Paul and Timothy Oberholtzer; and 1 sister, Martha, and 4 brothers, Norman, Aaron, Adin, and John .

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 28 at 10 am at the Muddy Creek Mennonite Church, 988 Beam Road, Denver, with Clinton Oberholtzer, Mel Sweigart, Cliff Stauffer, David Oberholtzer, and Richard Hoover officiating. Interment will be in the Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Church on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 5-8 pm and on Friday 9-9:45 am. Kindly omit flowers.
