Lisa A. Heft, 40, of Denver, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of Mary Jane (Bowman) Horning of East Earl, and the late Marvin W. Horning. She was married 18 years on May 16 to Jason Heft.
Lisa had been working for the past 6 years as a Volunteer Coordinator for Mennonite Central Committee in Ephrata.
She was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church and was also attending Koinos Community Church in Sinking Spring. She had served as past president of Lancaster Mennonite Women and she loved studying the Bible. Her family and friends could easily describe her as “Fun Filled Lisa.”
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are three daughters, Karlie, Angelina, and Ella; and four brothers and sisters, Jeanette, married to Rick Klumpp of Narvon, John, married to Joanna (Gehman) Horning of Denver, Darla Horning of East Earl, and Steve, married to Cheryl (Martin) Horning of Ephrata.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 18 at 2 pm at Weaverland Mennonite Church, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl with Pastor Brian Martin and Pastor Tim Deihl officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Church on Monday 3-5 pm and 6-8 pm and on Tuesday 12:30 – 2 pm.
