Obituary for Mabel K. Lehman

Mabel K. Lehman, 85, of 333 Wheat Ridge Dr., Ephrata, formerly of Martindale, died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Fairmount Homes. Her husband of 66 years, Luke E. Lehman, survives.

Born in Martindale, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Sarah (Kurtz) Buckwalter.

Mabel was a homemaker and a factory worker and a member of Martindale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

Surviving are two children: Brenda married to Gary Burkholder, Akron and Marvin Lehman, TN; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five siblings: Anna Nolt ,Myerstown; Martha married to Titus Nolt, Richland; Nora married to Irwin Martin, Schaefferstown; Elsie married to Benjamin Weaver, New Holland; and Edgar married to Elizabeth Buckwalter, Ephrata.

She was preceded in death by a son, Luke Lehman.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 9 a.m. at Fairmount Homes Wheat Ridge Chapel with further services at 9:30 a.m. at the Martindale Mennonite Church with Bishop Amos G. Martin, Ivan Hurst, Amos K. Martin, and Paul Hurst, Jr. officiating. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fairmount Homes Wheat Ridge Chapel. Kindly omit flowers. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
