Obituary for Katie Z. Zimmerman

Katie Z. Zimmerman, 102, of Denver, died Friday, May 27, 2016 at Cocalico Christian Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi H. Zimmerman on July 31, 1975.

Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Moses and Anna (Zimmerman) Sensenig.

Katie was a homemaker and a member of Muddy Creek Mennonite Church.

Surviving are five children: Anna Mae married to Phares Nolt, Shippensburg; Vera married to the late Allen Burkholder, New Holland; Ella married to Reuben Z. Newswanger, Shelby, OH; Raymond married to Elizabeth Z. (Horst) Zimmerman, Denver; Miriam married to Samuel Z. Weaver, Ephrata; 49 grandchildren; 287 great-grandchildren; and 153 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven siblings: Harvey Sensenig, Moses Sensenig, Bishop Aaron Sensenig, Anna Martin, Vera Weaver, Ada Horst and Lena Reiff.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 9 a.m. at the home of Raymond Zimmerman, 1224 Muddy Creek Rd., Denver with further services at 9:30 a.m. at Muddy Creek Mennonite Church with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the home of Raymond Zimmerman on Tuesday from 5 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
