Marcia S. Eckert, 75 of Leola, formerly of Brooklyn NY died unexpectedly on Saturday March 5th, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis X. Eckert in 1987.

Born in Brooklyn NY, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Hanna (Fordin) Banny.

Marcia had been a production worker at Advanced Food Products and Fleur De Lait Foods, both in New Holland. She retired at age 65.

She was of the Jewish Faith.

Surviving are her three children; Matthew, married to Cathy Adkins, Little Egg Harbor NJ. Raymond married to Veronica Adkins, Kinzers PA, Gina, married to Peter Marszalek, Griffon, MA; and seven grandchildren. Marcia was " G G " to Walter, her great grandson, the Light of her Life for the last 7 years.

She was the last of her immediate family.

A viewing will be held on Monday March 7th 2016 at 3:00 pm at Groff High Funeral Home , 145 W. Main St. New Holland PA followed by a funeral service at 4 pm. Burial will be in Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn NY.
