Virginia “Ginny” Vreeland died on September 8, 2014 at the age of 92. She was active until the last week of her life living independently in her home in New Holland, Pennsylvania.

Ginny was the daughter of the late Eleanor Buneau and Clyde Henderson born in Roseville, Michigan on April 11, 1922. She married her late husband Edward Vreeland of Bloomfield, New Jersey in 1946. They lived many years in West Caldwell, New Jersey before Eddie retired and they moved to New Holland in 1979.

Ginny loved the beach and rented a house at the Jersey Shore with her family every summer. She worked up until the last weeks of her life as a bookkeeper at Smoker and Company.

She is survived by three children, a daughter Janet Murphy married to William Murphy of Hackettstown, New Jersey, a daughter Janice Williams of Newfoundland, New Jersey and a son James Vreeland married to Linda Vreeland of Bowmansville, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by six grandsons, Scott Williams, Bill Murphy, Ryan Murphy, Mark Murphy, Ed Vreeland and Tim Vreeland, one granddaughter Michele Eveland married to Rhett Eveland and two great-granddaughters, Alexandra and Ava Eveland.

A viewing will be held at Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 West Main Street, New Holland on September 13, 2014 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Walter Guzman officiating at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water Street, New Holland at 1:00 pm.

She will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, New Jersey with her loving husband Eddie.
