Vivian (Suydam) Johnson, 88, formerly of Audubon, PA, died February 22, 2014, at Garden Spot Village, New Holland. She was preceded in death by her husband E. Leonard Johnson, Jr., in 1971, and by her son Emil Leonard “Skip” Johnson, III, in 2012.

Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Edith Suydam.

A registered Nurse, Vivian had worked three years at Walter Reed Army Hospital and later retired from Sacred Heart Hospital, Norristown, in 1990.

A member of Bangor Episcopal Church, Narvon, PA, and a former member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Norristown, she was a volunteer at St. John’s Soup Kitchen, Norristown, and a volunteer at Garden Spot Village where she lived since 1999. She was also a member and officer of the Audubon Woman’s Club.

A memorial service will be held at Bangor Episcopal Church, 2099 Main Street (Route 23), Narvon, PA 17555 on March 15, 2014 at 11 am with reception following. Interment will be in the Gardens of Faith Cemetery, Baltimore. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bangor Episcopal Church, address above.
